DELTRI+ filters for air handling units contain an advanced plasma technology capable of neutralising or destroying 99% of all viruses, including SARS-CoV-2. The treated filter surface activates on contact with the droplets that carry viruses. After the contact time, viruses are inactivated and no longer infectious. The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) tested the filters’ effectivity against the virus after ten minutes, and an independent laboratory demonstrated conformity with EN14476 and ISO 18184. The filters have a Eurovent Certified Performance A+ energy class rating, ensuring low pressure drop and high dust holding capacity.
Customers can choose from many DELTRI+ filter types, including ISO16890 ePM1 90% rated air filters (comparable to EN 779’s F9 class) and all standard AHU filter sizes and special formats for compact units.
The air filters are available as:
• An optional order item for all newly shipped Systemair AHUs.
• Replacement filters in standard and special sizes for existing AHUs – independent from their brand.
• A filter option, selectable in our AHU configurators (upcoming).
DELTRI+ is a bag filter with advanced plasma technology able to neutralise and destroy viruses. It is not a HEPA filter, which cannot simply be replaced or put into an AHU unless it is suitable for this. Compared to a DELTRI+ bag filter, a common HEPA filter has:
• A higher pressure drop and thus energy consumption.
• Different frame and leakage class.
• A higher price.
• No virus neutralisation feature.
We recommend the following use cases:
• Utilise DELTRI+ to replace your current AHU extract air filters.
• It is not necessary to replace your supply air filters with DELTRI+. This makes little sense as there is a very limited chance that outside air is polluted by viruses.
• You could also add DELTRI+ filters to your final filter section if you consider it suitable for your type of application. Instead of a standard ePM1 90% filter (F9 class comparable), for example.
